Patthiya

Patthiya is a 23-year-old monk in Thailand who recently entered the monastic life, motivated by a desire to please his grandmother and to find discipline and focus in his life. Despite the declining interest among young Thais in becoming monks, he chose to extend his stay in the temple after witnessing a crisis of faith within the Buddhist community, reflecting concerns about corruption and scandals among monks.
