Pau Gil i Serra

Pau Gil i Serra was a wealthy businessman and philanthropist in 19th-century Catalonia, whose substantial inheritance enabled the funding of significant public works, including the construction of the Hospital de Sant Pau, designed by architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner, as well as the Palau de la Música, both emblematic of Catalan nationalism and cultural identity.
