Paul Leterrier

Paul Leterrier, the last fusilier-marin of La France Libre and a survivor of the Battle of Bir Hakeim, has passed away. He joined the Free French forces in 1941 after a maritime career that began at the age of 15. Leterrier fought bravely during World War II and was recognized for his service in various commemorative events, including the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. He also served as a police officer in the French territorial surveillance department, leaving a legacy as a dedicated soldier and public servant.
