Paul Rusesabagina

Paul Rusesabagina is a Rwandan humanitarian and former hotel manager, best known for his role in sheltering 1,268 refugees during the Rwandan genocide in 1994 at the Hôtel des Mille Collines, which inspired the film 'Hotel Rwanda.' His legacy has been complicated by subsequent controversies regarding the accuracy of his accounts and his political activism, leading to his imprisonment in 2020 on charges of terrorism, though he has since been released.
