Paula Alvarellos

Paula Alvarellos was the mayor of Lugo, Spain, serving as a member of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE). Born in 1963 in Ponteceso, she took office in 2021 after succeeding Lara Méndez, becoming a prominent figure in local politics. An accomplished lawyer, Alvarellos was dedicated to addressing the needs of her constituents and advancing the city of Lugo. Tragically, she passed away from a heart attack shortly before a Carnival event, leaving a significant impact on her community and party.
