Paulo Parra is the manager of Energuate, a key electricity distribution company in Guatemala. He has been instrumental in the recent approval of the terms for the sixth long-term electricity supply auction (PEG 6) by the National Electric Energy Commission (CNEE). This new auction aims to contract 600 megawatts of base energy, focusing on renewable sources such as gas and geothermal energy, in response to the growing energy demand in the country.
