Pavel Dobrovolsky

Pavel Dobrovolsky is a Belarusian journalist known for his work with independent media outlets and his activism during the 2020 protests in Belarus. After facing administrative penalties for his journalistic activities, he left Belarus in late 2021 and lived abroad, including in Latin America. However, it has recently come to light that he has been detained in Belarus since January 2025, with reports suggesting that his arrest is linked to his previous work advocating for freedom of expression and information dissemination.
