Pavlo Lapshyn was a Ukrainian national convicted of the racially motivated murder of 82-year-old Muslim man Mohammed Saleem in 2013, as well as for planting bombs outside mosques in the UK. He was sentenced to 40 years in prison but was found dead in his cell in 2023, with the circumstances surrounding his death remaining unclear.
