Pedro Aguayo Cubillo

Pedro Aguayo Cubillo, who served as the Vice President of Ecuador for the final four months of Fabián Alarcón's presidency in 1998, passed away at the age of 85. He was a prominent figure in Ecuadorian politics, having held various key positions including rector of the Universidad Católica de Guayaquil and president of the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC). Additionally, Aguayo represented Ecuador at the Inter-American Development Bank (BID) and founded the Fundación Ecuador.
