Pedro Cabral

Pedro Cabral was a Portuguese explorer and navigator who is best known for being the first European to discover Brazil in 1500. Commanding a fleet on a voyage to India, he inadvertently landed on the Brazilian coast, claiming the territory for Portugal. His expeditions contributed to the Age of Discovery, expanding European knowledge and influence in South America.
