Pedro de Portugal
Pedro de Portugal, also known as Dom Pedro I, was a historical figure and prince of Portugal in the 14th century. He is best known for his tragic romance with Inês de Castro, who was murdered on the orders of his father, Dom Afonso IV. Pedro's love for Inês led him to later have her exhumed and crowned posthumously, a tale that has inspired numerous artistic works, including the recent theatrical production 'Agora Inês é morta'.
