Pedro Rosas Bravo was a prominent Venezuelan economist and former Minister of Finance, who passed away at the age of 74 due to heart complications. He was a significant figure in Venezuela's economic landscape, having also served as Vice President of the Central Bank of Venezuela and in the Ministry of Finance during the challenging economic period of the late 1980s and early 1990s. A cum laude graduate in Economics from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, he furthered his education with a Master's degree in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from a joint program between the London School of Economics and the University of East Anglia. Rosas Bravo was also an accomplished author, notably writing the first biographies of historical figures such as Oliver Cromwell and Charles-Maurice Talleyrand in Spanish.
