Peng Zhen

Peng Zhen was a high-ranking Chinese Communist Party official and a key political figure during the early years of the People's Republic of China. He served as the Mayor of Beijing and was involved in various cultural and political initiatives. Peng was criticized during the Cultural Revolution, as Mao targeted him for alleged counter-revolutionary activities, which led to his downfall.
