Pepos Karassos

Pepos Karassos was a Greek Jew from Thessaloniki who survived the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II. He is known for his love story with Eva, a Hungarian Jew, which blossomed amidst the horrors of the camp. Their relationship became a symbol of hope and resilience, and they later married, returning to Greece to rebuild their lives.
