Percival Pott

Percival Pott was an English surgeon in the 18th century who is often regarded as one of the founders of modern epidemiology. He is notable for his pioneering work in linking environmental factors to cancer, particularly his studies on chimney sweeps and scrotal cancer, which laid the groundwork for understanding occupational hazards.
