Percy Spencer
Percy Spencer was an American engineer and inventor best known for inventing the microwave oven. While working for Raytheon in the 1940s, he discovered the heating properties of microwaves inadvertently when a chocolate bar melted in his pocket, leading to the commercial development of the microwave oven.
