Perla Simons

Perla Simons is the Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH). She is actively involved in initiatives aimed at improving medical education and healthcare accessibility in Honduras. Recently, she proposed a pilot project to decentralize postgraduate rotations, allowing medical students to gain practical experience in various specialties outside the capital, Tegucigalpa. This initiative is intended to enhance the training of medical professionals and better serve the healthcare needs of the Honduran population.
