Petar Dimitrov Mirchev is a 60-year-old Bulgarian national, alleged to be an international arms trafficker connected to a vast operation supplying weapons to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) in Mexico. He was arrested in Madrid on April 8, 2023, at the request of the DEA, which has linked him to Viktor Bout, a notorious arms dealer. Mirchev is accused of conspiring to traffic both cocaine and military-grade weapons, facing potential life imprisonment if extradited to the United States.
