Pete Taylor is an Olympic boxing coach best known for coaching his daughter, Katie Taylor, to Ireland’s first women’s Olympic boxing gold medal at the 2012 London Games. He has been in the news recently due to the controversy surrounding the closure of Bray Boxing Club, following a tragic shooting incident in 2018 that resulted in the death of Bobby Messett and left Taylor himself injured.
