Peter Petre

Peter Petre is a retired colonel who held command of Military Unit 0575 in Măgurele, part of the Ministry of Interior in Romania. His involvement in the June 1990 Mineriad, where state forces and miners violently confronted anti-government demonstrators, has led to his indictment for crimes against humanity as the legal proceedings regarding these historical events continue to unfold in the Romanian courts.
