Peteris Nummelins

Peteris Nummelins is a former professional ice hockey defenseman from Latvia who had a notable career in both the NHL and international play. He was a key player for the Latvian national team, representing his country in multiple World Championships and the Olympics. Known for his strong defensive skills and leadership on the ice, Nummelins has transitioned into coaching roles post-retirement. He is currently serving as an assistant coach for the Latvian national team, working alongside head coach Harijs Vītoliņš to prepare for the upcoming 2026 Olympic Games.
