Petro Halushchak

Petro Halushchak, born on September 12, 1954, in Lviv, was a notable Ukrainian figure as the great-grandson of the renowned writer Ivan Franko. He dedicated his life to preserving and promoting the legacy of his ancestor, participating actively in cultural initiatives, and contributing to the 'House of Franko' museum. A graduate in information and measurement technology, Halushchak also worked as a senior engineer and was involved in various community organizations, including co-founding the 'Happy Family' association for large families in Lviv. He passed away on August 27, 2023, after a prolonged illness, leaving behind a legacy of love for Ukraine and its culture.
