
Pham Duc Long
Pham Duc Long, 55, is a highly experienced Vietnamese engineer and politician, who has recently been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Science and Technology. He earned his engineering degree in Electronics from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and furthered his education with a Master's and PhD in Electronics and Telecommunications from Tokyo University of Electronics and Telecommunications in Japan. Throughout his career, Long has held various significant positions, including engineer and technical manager in Ho Chi Minh City, and leadership roles at VNPT, where he served as General Director and Chairman of the Member Council. His recent appointment follows the merger of the Ministry of Science and Technology with the Ministry of Information and Communications, reflecting his extensive expertise in the telecommunications sector.
