Phillip Mutua Kilonzo

Phillip Mutua Kilonzo is a former Executive Committee Member in Machakos County, Kenya, who was recently awarded Sh4.2 million by the Machakos Employment and Labour Relations Court for unfair dismissal from his position. He served in the Department of Lands and later in Education under Governor Wavinya Ndeti but was terminated from his role on October 9, 2023, amid allegations of irregularities and criticism of the county government. The court found that Kilonzo was dismissed without justifiable cause and was denied a fair hearing, leading to his compensation.
