Philodemus
Philodemus was an influential Epicurean philosopher from ancient Greece, active in the first century BC, whose works focused on ethics and the nature of happiness. His writings, including the multi-volume text 'On Vices,' provide insight into Epicurean thought and were discovered in charred scrolls at Herculaneum, buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.
