Phithayut Sodha

Phithayut Sodha, also known as 'Nong Yak,' was a 20-year-old soldier serving in the Thai military, stationed at the Ta Muen Thom border post in Surin Province. He gained attention for his courageous spirit and commitment to his fellow soldiers, even while suffering from a pre-existing medical condition. Tragically, he passed away on August 23, 2023, in the line of duty, shortly after engaging in a tense confrontation with Cambodian soldiers. His aspirations to continue his education after joining the military resonated with many who admired his dedication.
