Piero Bassi

Piero Bassi, also known as 'il biondo,' was a member of the Red Brigades, a far-left terrorist organization in Italy during the 1970s. Born in Casalpusterlengo, he became known for his involvement in armed struggle against the Italian state. Bassi was recognized in connection with the violent events at the Spiotta farmhouse in 1975, where a confrontation resulted in the deaths of a police officer and a brigatista. He remained a committed member of the group throughout his life, refusing to dissociate from their ideology. Bassi passed away in 2020 at the age of 71.
