Pierre Medina Arjona

Pierre Medina Arjona is the president of the Proyecto Santa María and the director of the Unidad de Manejo Ambiental (UMA) in San Antonio Chel, Yucatán. He has dedicated his career to the conservation of birds, particularly parrots, and has been actively involved in community initiatives that educate and engage local residents in bird monitoring and conservation efforts. His leadership has been pivotal in a recent citizen science project that documented the presence of seven parrot species in Mérida, showcasing the importance of wildlife conservation in urban areas.
