
Pilar Cañedo
Pilar Cañedo is a rising star in Uruguayan swimming, currently training in Weston, Florida, as part of the Azura team. At just 20 years old, she has already made significant achievements, including a fifth-place finish at the Pacific Cup in Ecuador and competing against world-class swimmers like Katie Ledecky. Cañedo's journey began in the Remeros club in Paysandú, and she moved to Montevideo at 16 to further her career. In 2024, she was crowned national champion in the 800 and 1,500 meters, and she is set to compete in the 10k event at the World Open Water Cup in Egypt.
