Pinchas Idan

Pinchas Idan is the chairman of the Workers' Committee of the Israel Airports Authority and a prominent member of the Likud party. Known for his strong advocacy for workers' rights, he has taken a stand on various social issues, including participation in strikes to protest against government policies. In March 2023, he faced backlash for declaring a temporary halt to flights at Ben Gurion Airport in response to judicial reforms, which nearly led to his ousting from the Likud party. Recently, he announced that employees of the Israel Airports Authority would be allowed to participate in a nationwide strike in support of families of hostages, highlighting his commitment to social justice.
