Piotr Torng

Piotr Torng was a 41-year-old homeless man originally believed to be from Lithuania, whose life came to a tragic end in November 2022 due to cardiac arrest in St. James's Hospital, Dublin. After his death, his body went unclaimed for six months, highlighting the often overlooked plight of homeless individuals. Piotr was ultimately buried in Glasnevin Cemetery by volunteers from the Alice Leahy Trust, a charity dedicated to aiding the homeless, ensuring that despite the absence of family or friends, he received a dignified farewell.
