Pline le Jeune, also known as Pliny the Younger, was a Roman lawyer, author, and magistrate who lived during the first century AD. He is best known for his letters, which provide valuable insight into Roman life and politics, as well as his account of the eruption of Mount Vesuvius that destroyed Pompeii.
