Pope Tawadros II
Pope Tawadros II is the 118th Pope of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria, having assumed the papacy in November 2012. He is known for his efforts in modernizing the church and engaging with contemporary social issues, including supporting refugees and providing educational opportunities for marginalized communities, particularly through initiatives like the African Community School in Cairo, which he established in 2014 for Sudanese refugees.
