Pouya Maarefi

Pouya Maarefi is the Director of the Monitoring Project at the National Oil Refining and Distribution Company in Iran. He has been actively involved in addressing issues related to fuel smuggling, highlighting that between 20 to 30 million liters of fuel are smuggled daily, primarily diesel, due to the significant price discrepancies between subsidized and market rates.
