Prabjot Singh Wirring

Prabjot Singh Wirring is a lawyer and advocate for marginalized communities, best known for challenging Alberta's requirement for prospective lawyers to swear an oath of allegiance to the King, which he argued infringed on his religious freedoms as a Sikh. His legal battle, which he initiated in June 2022, culminated in a significant ruling by the Alberta Court of Appeal deeming the oath unconstitutional.
