Prime Minister Holness
Andrew Holness is the Prime Minister of Jamaica, having taken office in March 2016. He is the leader of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) and has previously served as Minister of Education. Holness is known for his focus on economic development and social reform, but his recent comments dismissing the need for an opposition have sparked significant controversy and debate about the role of democratic checks and balances in Jamaica.
