With a personal fortune estimated at over €15.5 billion, he was known for his love of fast cars, yachts, and horse racing, famously owning champion racehorses such as Shergar. His philanthropic efforts, primarily through the Aga Khan Development Network, focused on improving education, healthcare, and living conditions in Ismaili communities worldwide. He passed away on February 4, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of spiritual guidance and social responsibility.
