Princess Grace of Monaco, originally Grace Kelly, was an American actress who became the Princess of Monaco upon her marriage to Prince Rainier III. She founded the Académie Princesse Grace in 1975 to promote the art of dance in Monaco, and her legacy continues to influence the Academy as it fosters young dancers and preserves her vision of artistic excellence.
