Prins Henrik

Prins Henrik, born Henri Marie Jean André de Laborde de Monpezat in 1934, was a Danish prince and the husband of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. He was born in France and became a naturalized Danish citizen upon his marriage in 1967. Known for his artistic talents, Prins Henrik was a poet, sculptor, and painter. He often expressed his dissatisfaction with his role within the Danish royal family, particularly regarding his title as prince consort. His contributions to culture and the arts were significant, and he was a prominent figure in Danish society until his passing in 2018.
