Procomer

Procomer, or the Promotora de Comercio Exterior, is a governmental agency in Costa Rica dedicated to promoting international trade and investment. Recently, it was in the news for abruptly canceling a commercial agreement with Uber, just one day after announcing the partnership aimed at enhancing the country's tourism experience. The decision followed alleged pressures and threats of strikes from various sectors opposing the collaboration, which Procomer clarified was intended solely for promoting Costa Rica's positive attributes without commercial licensing implications.
