Prodesta Moore
Prodesta Moore is a dedicated youth advocate and the founder of the Bahamas Urban Youth Development Centre (BUYDC), an organization established in 2010 to combat child exploitation and support vulnerable youth in the Bahamas. Under her leadership, BUYDC has provided critical services such as trauma-informed care, mentorship, and life-skills training to young individuals, particularly girls facing poverty and coercion. Despite the organization's significant contributions over the past decade, including securing international funding, Moore has highlighted a lack of local governmental support, emphasizing the urgent need for resources to address the ongoing crisis of commercial sexual exploitation of minors in the Bahamas.
