Prospèr Estieu

Prospèr Estieu was a prominent French poet, writer, and primary school teacher born in 1860 in Fendelha, Aude. He was a key figure in the literary modernism movement, founding the literary and social publication 'Revista Occitània' in 1905. Estieu's works often explored themes of nature and identity, reflecting the cultural heritage of the Occitan language and lands, and he played an influential role in the promotion and preservation of regional literature in southern France.
