Protima Bedi

Protima Bedi was a celebrated Indian model and classical dancer, born in 1948 in Delhi. She gained fame in the 1960s for her modeling career and became widely known for a nude runway show on Juhu Beach in 1974. She later became a prominent Odissi dancer and established a free dance school in the suburbs of Bangalore in 1990. Protima was a free spirit who lived life on her own terms until her untimely death in 1998 during a landslide while on a pilgrimage to Kailash Mansarovar. Her legacy continues through her children, including actress Pooja Bedi.
