Purnawati, a 42-year-old accounting diploma graduate from East Jakarta, has transitioned from office work to becoming a babysitter since the COVID-19 pandemic. Facing economic challenges, she found that the role of a babysitter was more practical as it required no higher education qualifications and allowed her to adapt to her new circumstances while earning a salary close to Jakarta's regional minimum wage.
