Qahramonjon Olimov is a prominent Uzbek banker and financier, known as the sole shareholder of Anorbank, where he holds 99.38% of the shares. Recently, he gained international attention when he was kidnapped in Paris on June 23, 2023, during a business trip to negotiate with French partners and finalize a real estate transaction. Reports indicate that he was taken to a villa near Nice, where he was physically abused before being released after a ransom was paid. Following the incident, he suffered from multiple bruises and injuries, alongside insomnia and anxiety. Despite the traumatic experience, his spokesperson noted that he is now focusing on moving forward.
