Qu Dongyuy

Qu Dongyuy is the Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), a position he has held since 2019 and was re-elected for a second term in 2023. He has been instrumental in leading the FAO’s initiatives aimed at combating global hunger and enhancing food security, especially in light of pressing challenges such as climate change and food price volatility. Under his leadership, the FAO celebrated its 80th anniversary, emphasizing the importance of sustainable agricultural practices and the need for innovative solutions to ensure food security worldwide.
