Rəhim Qazıyev

Rəhim Qazıyev was a prominent Azerbaijani military figure who served as the Minister of Defense during a tumultuous period in the early 1990s, shortly after Azerbaijan gained independence from the Soviet Union. His leadership has been criticized for its lack of strategic foresight, particularly during the tragic events of the Khojaly Massacre, which occurred under his command. Many hold him responsible for significant territorial losses in Nagorno-Karabakh due to alleged incompetence and political maneuvering, which ultimately led to the suffering of Azerbaijani civilians.
