Rabbi Saadia Gaon was a medieval Jewish philosopher and exegete, known for his significant contributions to Jewish thought and literature during the 10th century. He was one of the first to translate the Hebrew Bible into Arabic, making Jewish texts accessible to a broader audience. His philosophical works, particularly 'Emunot ve-Deot', laid the groundwork for Jewish philosophy and defended the rational underpinnings of faith.
