Rachel Rut Fiszman

Rachel Rut Fiszman was a Polish survivor of the Holocaust and the mother of Krina Ber. Along with her husband, she escaped from a train headed for Auschwitz, later fleeing to Israel after World War II. Her resilience and experiences greatly influenced her daughter's literary voice.
