Rafael Granados Rueda
Rafael Granados Rueda was a lieutenant colonel in the Colombian Army, serving as the head of the Operations Department within the Anti-Narcotics Brigade No. 3. He was known for leading operations against narcoterrorist organizations in the southwestern region of Colombia. Tragically, he was attacked and killed by armed assailants while on his way home in Popayán, Cauca, which has been viewed as a direct assault on the military and state institutions. In response to his death, the Colombian Minister of Defense announced a reward of up to 200 million pesos for information leading to the identification and capture of those responsible.
